JAI20 This Weeks Challenge

Well here is another Just Add Ink Challenge. We have to do a card with stitching (real or faux) I wasn't too sure about this one due to the fact that although I have done stitching (faux) on some of my cards and layouts I wanted to step it up abit and actually do the stitching. So I set about what style I wanted to do and managed to do that, then came the stitching bit and needless to say I am not very good at threading a needle lately. I even had my glasses on, so after about 5 minutes thought I can't do this. Well I went away grabbed a coffee and came back to try again, yah I got the thread through the hole.... now for the stitching...
I finished my card and thought hmmm not bad but wasn't really convinced. The next day having another look at my card I decided I still wasn't convinced so thought I would try another one. Threading the needle this time was easier (thank goodness). After finishing my card I was abit happier with the outcome so thought that is it. I gave it ago and well now you can see too.I have used Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue and So Saffron cardstock. The stamp set used was Scribble This. I have used my crimper to crimp the Bashful Blue cardstock as well. I stamp the swirly image along the bottom with melon mambo ink and the Flower. I then cut out the flower and set about doing some stitching. Inside the petals I decided to stitch a knot. I also added 2 rows of stitching along the top. The oval punches came in handy for the saying which was from the Oval All Stamp Set.
Thanks for looking.
Karen

Ok I will show you my first attempt the one I was now happy with as well.

Happy Stampin
