Perth Regionals

Well the Regionals have come and been. WOW what a great time I had.
My day started out by waking up at 6am to get ready to be at the train
station by 7.30am. Here I met up with some other lovely demonstrators
and we made the journey to the Convention Centre. As we stopped along
the way we kept meeting more and more demonstrators. We all talked
of events, techniques and our workshops that we do.
When we arrived at the convention centre we all lined up ready to sign
in. Here we where given out packages for the day, which consisted of
4 projects that we had to make. We then entered the room, found our
seats and then Aaron started his talk. He talked about what is coming
up what has happened and what we might see in the future. He also
spoke of his journey through his craft projects and then he showed us
how to make a card. We then were introduced to Bonnie, who also
gae us a talk on building our creative sides. Aaron and Bonnie were
both from Stampin' Up in the USA. Poor Bonnie she was dressed ready
and waiting for her breakfast which see thought was late as she ordered it
for 6.30am, but nothing was coming after making a call to reception she
found out that it was not 6.3oam but it was 3.30am....
Bonnie demonstrated a couple of projects to us as well which were absolutely
divine. We all then had time to do our make and takes we were given
on arrival. We heard from some other demonstrators on business building,
workshop wow's, different techniques and after the first couple my mind was
boggling. so many things to remember. We all took a break for lunch, then
we came back to finish off our make and takes. While we were all having
lunch it was time to catch up with other demo's and chat, swap cards etc.
After lunch we had more demonstrations and we actually fnished up around
3pm. Back on the train to head home and yep you guessed lots and lots
off demo's on the train all chatting about the days events.
We arrived home just after 4pm. Long day but well worth it.....
I do have lots of swaps, so will post some photos soon.

Well October is going to be a very busy month for me. With World Card Day on the 3rd October, and Stampin Up have a great special for this event. (Scroll down). I also have Regionals, where all Demonstrators get together and learn new techniques, see new products coming up, swap cards with other demo's do lots of make and takes and generally just have a great day of stamping..... This I can handle six hours of stamping..... So hopefully in my up and coming workshops I will have some great new cards for all of you.

Happy 30th Birthday

Another card Using the Fun and Fast notes with the
Earth elements card stock group.
This was for a friend who was turning "30".
I have also used the dots embossing folder from the cuttlebug
range and I have used the Fancy Pants cuttlebug alphabet
dies to cut out the number 30.
I have also used the thumping technique.
Cheers for now
Karen

As promised after showing you all my son's card I have now got a photo to show you of the goodie bags the children got to take home. The party was a great success and everyone had a ball. Very tiring but worth it... The children were all great and well behaved. We ended up with 14 kids all together.

Another card for the Grandson

Ok like I said I have been busy making cards for my son's upcoming birthday. Here is another one from the grandparents.
This time I used the retired stamp set "Ahoy Matey" which I just love.
I cut the treasure chest out and cut the lid off so that I could add some kindy glitz for the treasure.
Also used the gray papers again. I coloured the treasure chest and bird in with my blender pens.

Happy Birthday Grandson

With my son's birthday coming up shortly I have been busy making cards for him. This is one from the grandparents that he will be getting.
Here I have used the Choo Choo Set from the spring mini.
I have used going gray and basic gray with abit of very vanilla. I stamped the train in Brilliant Blue and Real Red and yes I did cut them out free hand......I used the thumping technique for the background and the track is just cardboard. I think he is going to love this card.
