JAI32 Just Add Ink Challenge

Well I got to make a card for this weeks challenge finally, over at the Just Add Ink site the lovely Ladies have come up with a challenge to just add Material. So I set about to make a card using my Bigshot Machine. Gotta love this machine it makes life so much easier. As I am partial to the Top Note Die (exclusive to stampin up) I came up with this. Hope you like it.

I have used Brilliant Blue and Real Red card stock. As this matched the material I had in my cupboard. With the Top Note Die I cut out the material and attached it to my Real Red cardstock, I have folded it behind so you can only see half of the die. I then used the Movers and Shapers die and cut out my label for the Happy Birthday stamped in real red ink added some whisper white ribbon and there you have it. A very quick and simple card.
Don't forget to pop over to the Just Add Ink site and have a look at all the wonderful designs.
Thanks for Looking

Fathers Day Chocolate Box

Well Fathers day is fast approaching so set about finishing some projects that I started before going on holiday. Here is the first one. I have made this octagon box from Kraft cardstock and then using the thumping technique used chocolate chip ink. With the Big Deal Alphabet stamp set cut out D A D and placed on the box. I have also used a paper bead for the handle to open the lid.

Happy Birthday

Here is another card made with the colour challenge from Just Add Ink. I was on a roll so thought I would just go with it. I haven't entered this one in for the challenge but thought I would show it any way. I have used the stamp set Fun and Fast notes and using my markers coloured the stamp in then stamped on my cardstock. I have distressed the edges of my 3 layers and I used the Trio Flower punch to make the border along the bottom. I actually do like this colours together.

Until next time

Just Add Ink # 29 Challenge

Well here is another Challenge set by the Wonderful Design team ladies from Just Add Ink. We have a colour challenge this week. So I set about to make a card using the colours above. I used the Kraft cardstock as my main card and then the other three colours were my layers and paper roses. (thanks Tania for the tutorial) I also scored my main card to give the base a different effect. The Happy Birthday to you is stamped in Rose Red and I have attached it to look like a billboard.
Hope you like what you see and don't forget to pop on over to the the Just Add Ink site to get lots more inspiration.

Here are some photos of the Library where we did everything, I must tell you it didn't look like this for long, especially when we all started working.
But as I always say a messy desk is a very creative desk...hehe
(my excuse and I'm sticking to it)

Here are a couple of photos of myself with my stamping Buddies. Samantha and Me on Friday Evening, then the left hand one is of Samantha, me and Esther, this one was on Saturday morning. See we even have lollies on our table when we are at work......

Stamp Camp 2010

Well have a look at this beauty. This was from the very talented Susan Joyce. On Friday night after we arrived and had tea, we headed back into the library where Susan then showed us all how to make this wonderful Lantern. You can put a tea light inside which is just fantastic to see at night. But for you all to see how wonderful this is I photographed it in the daylight.
We have used Asian Artistry stamp set, with Soft Suede cardstock and ink and the Autumn Traditions DSP.
Thanks you very much Susan for showing us this great project. I thoroughly enjoyed doing it.

Stamp Camp 2010

Well as I promised thought I would show you some more photos from Stamp Camp. Here are some photos of the shoebox swap we all did.
This was like a game of Musical Chairs, everyone set up their swap on their desk and then we all just went from chair to chair.

General Chit Chat

Hi Everyone, thanks to all that have been stopping by my blog, sorry I haven't uploaded any more photos from my Stamp Camp, but life is very busy here at the moment. Roll on next Thursday 10 days of pure bliss sitting by the pool, no phones, no text messages. Over the weekend I will be doing some creating and I will upload what I can.
As regards to some of the projects on my blog at the moment, yes I will be running classes for them but I haven't as yet set any dates. I will start to organize my schedule and hopefully will have some dates for you all in September, to mark on your calendars. I might even get around to sending out a Newletter, yay I hear you all say.
Although it has been a very slow month with workshops/classes etc I know you all are very excited like me about our new Catalogue being released on 1st September, so don't forget to pre-book your own copy for only $10.00
Anyone that would like to host their own workshop will receive one for free so give me a call or drop me an email so we can book in your workshop now.

Until next time
Happy Stamping

Stamp Camp 2010

Well everyone I am back from camp and now that I have recovered from lack of sleep, thought I would let you know what went on.
Left home on Friday afternoon with the lovely Esther and headed to Swanleigh in Perth. Dropped all are craft gear at the Library had a chat with some other demos and then headed off for tea in the Dining Hall. Once we finished tea we all headed back to the library to start our first project. The lovely Sue showed us all how to make a lovely Lantern. These look just amazing and a great table piece. Once we all finished our lantern it was on to the shoebox swaps. For those of you who don't know what that means is every demo designed a card and prepped enough stock for all the other demos, so we all played musical chairs and went from swap to swap, until finally at 11.30pm some off us headed back to our rooms to get some sleep. Although once we showered and got organised we all decided to sit around and just have a chat for a while.
We all woke reasonably earlier and headed off to the dining hall once again for breakfast. Yep you guessed it back to the library for more stamping.
Today we got to make Pats accordian file and Jenny's mini scrapbook, love these and great gift ideas too. Then when we finished these we got back to playing musical chairs, (shoebox swaps) and so all in all there was lots of stamping, chatter, laughing and fun had by all over the 24 hours.
Came home with 34 swaps, 3 projects and with some great inspiration.
Here is a photo of all the demos (not all as some had gone home by this time).
