Two Challenges in One
Well Ladies I am back. After a rather lengthy break reasons out of my control I have finally managed to sit down and create a card. I went to my favorite challenge sites to get my inspiration and at Just Add Ink #61 the challenge was to Just Add Stamps. Well rather funny isn't it when you have to think about making a card with do's and don't's it really challenges you. I really don't think to much about not being able to use this or that it all just comes together most times anyway. But I did find it hard not to add some ribbon or bling, as I find that this just seems to finish off my cards of late.Any way I managed to put something together even though when I started I had something in mind, but the end result was completely different.
After making my card I also realised that this card would be suitable for the SUO Challenge #15 to make a Birthday Card so that was a bonus.
I have used the stamp sets Pocket Silhouette's and After Thoughts for the sentiment. The cardstock is Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Choc Chip and Very Vanilla, inks are the same with Daffodil Delight thrown in there as well.
Here is my card. Thanks for stopping by and hopefully you like what you see, please leave a comment so I know you stopped by.
Lovely card! The layered stamping in those colours are just beautiful!! :)
ReplyDeleteSigh! Pocket Silhouettes are perfect for this challenge.
ReplyDeletePerfect use of both challenges! Love your color choices. So glad you joined us at SUO Challenges!
ReplyDeleteVery simple and elegant! Thanks for playing SUO Challenges.
ReplyDeleteYour card looks great Karen! All that colour and you've only added stamps. I too find it difficult not to add ribbon or bling or 'something'. Your pumpkin c/s strips look a lot like ribbon anyway so you pulled off this challenge really really well!
