Secret Stamper
Well although I have been missing in action. Between a few of us Demo's the lovely Jo has organised a Secret Stamper club for our children. Each child makes a card and sends to another child. They send 2 cards and a small gift.
I must say the cards my children received are exceptional. Some real demos in the making, thats for sure. Both Zoe and Bryden have received their first cards and were over the moon not only to receive mail addressed to them but the fact that someone made them something.
So I thought I would share with you what they both received. This is the one Zoe received.
This one is the one Bryden received. As Bryden said that is "Hell Cool". They even put my name on it......
I did forget to take photos of the cards that Zoe and Bryden made before posting them so sorry will try and remember next month.

Just Add Ink and SU Only Challenge
Two Challenges in One
Well Ladies I am back. After a rather lengthy break reasons out of my control I have finally managed to sit down and create a card. I went to my favorite challenge sites to get my inspiration and at Just Add Ink #61 the challenge was to Just Add Stamps. Well rather funny isn't it when you have to think about making a card with do's and don't's it really challenges you. I really don't think to much about not being able to use this or that it all just comes together most times anyway. But I did find it hard not to add some ribbon or bling, as I find that this just seems to finish off my cards of late.Any way I managed to put something together even though when I started I had something in mind, but the end result was completely different.
After making my card I also realised that this card would be suitable for the SUO Challenge #15 to make a Birthday Card so that was a bonus.
I have used the stamp sets Pocket Silhouette's and After Thoughts for the sentiment. The cardstock is Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Choc Chip and Very Vanilla, inks are the same with Daffodil Delight thrown in there as well.
Here is my card. Thanks for stopping by and hopefully you like what you see, please leave a comment so I know you stopped by.

Vintage Layout
Well its been a while in between blog posts, sorry about that
everyone, but time just seemed to pass me by
this week.
I have managed to do a Scrapbook Layout this week.
It's funny how you get things out to do something and
you end up doing something completely different.
Please explain I here. Well my son's work pants needed
sewing and I really don't like sewing (aargh) but this
time it needed the machine, not just a needle and
thread. So after I managed to sew up his pants,
I had a thought and (ouch yes it did hurt) that I
could do a vintage layout with sewing on it......
This is what I came up with.
I started with a 12" x 12" black and very vanilla piece
of cardstock and with matches in hand I burnt the
edges of the very vanilla to get the rugged edging, them
with my sewing machine I sewed a row of black thread
around the edge. I also burnt the Early Espresso Photo mat.
I have used the Early Espresso ribbon and again using my
sewing machine I gathered the ribbon and sewed down the
middle. Added some antique brads and very vanilla
ribbon and Ta Da there you have it. The border on the
top right hand corner is from the DSP Paper Love Letter.
Yes a lot of cutting for this border piece.
Hope you like it

Just Add Ink 58
Well, what a challenge this time round from the Just Add Ink design team.
Unfortunately Danielle and Amanda have decided to leave the design team.
I for one will miss them. They are both very talented and I love the challenges they set out each week. So we have a challenge this week to Just Add Danielle or Amanda.
I decided I would go with Danielle, because when I was surfing her blog I saw a card that I really liked and thought I could CASe it. Here is Danielle's card.
And here is my version. Although I did not actually have the same stamp the one I have chosen is similar.
I have used Crumb Cake for my card, French script for my background in Soft Suede ink and the stamp Totally Tess and after I used the puff paint to colour her in yes I cut her out. (That was nerve wrecking). Crochet trim with pretty in pink ribbon and 3 pearls.
Don't forget to pop over to Danielle's and Amanda's blog to see their amazing designs.
