Baby Shower

Well I am showing you today a picture of a card I made for my Friends Baby Shower. You see I can show you now as I have given it to Kylie and I know she visits from time to time so didn't want to spoil the surprise.I have used Marina Mist as the main card, with the layers in Bashful Blue. I used the scallop trim border, which I just love ATM. I crimped the top right hand side and folded over with a gold eyelet. I had some blue umbrella eyelets in my stash, which was just perfect for this card. I used the sizzix Teddy Die for the teddy bear. Blue rhinestones for his eyes.

My Stamping Space

Well Ladies thought I would show you where I do all my work. As you can see I have everything at hand and a big desk to make lots of mess. This is where my classes are also held, except I do clean up. hehe
I have all my bits and bots in filing cabinets, all my stamp sets are together on my wall unit. The A4 cardstock are in the drawers in their colour groups for easy reach. My punches are on the board I made from wood and towel rails. All the 12" x 12" papers on are the wire rack and of course my computer is right there as well.

Christmas cards

Well Christmas has come and gone and we all had a lovely day. It was abit sad this year due to the fact that my Mum and Dad couldn't attend any celebrations due to Mum being very sick. First year ever and it was very sad, it just wasn't the same without them. Anyway our day didn't start too early around 7am. Kids all got their gifts and then we headed off to Perth for Breakfast with my Brother and his family. Once we had eaten and sat around for a while talking we played Chris Cringle, where everyone had to buy a gift and then as names where called we chose a gift, object of the game is to be called last because you get to see all gifts but one, so you can pinch one off someone else if you wished. A fun and very exciting game. We then headed home in the very hot weather and unfortunately the traffic was very slow, everyone seemed to be heading home from Perth. Then we all sat around and made up some of the pressies the kids got, (eg Lego etc) had abit of a swim and then had a light tea. Mother in law and my Sister also stayed with us. But hey all in all a rather relaxing day. Thought I would just pop in with a post to today to show you some of my cards that my lovely ladies made for me.

This one is from the Lovely Ann. Thank you very much..

This card is from my downline, Simone, hope you had a great day.

This is from the very talented Barbara.
This is one from the lovely Elizabeth.

Thanks Ladies for the wonderful cards.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all
had a Wonderful Christmas

Just Add Ink #48

Well as I mentioned before I am using the Just Add Ink Challenges to catch up on all my holiday snaps that need to be done. Especially now since the Christmas Festive season is here and things are a little quiet with classes etc, it gives me some time to do the things I need to do. So with the sketch above I began first with the photos I wanted to use and this is the Layout I came up with.

I have used Black 12" x 12" cardstock with Very Vanilla and then I also used the DSP Newsprint. I added 6 black eyelets along the right side and threaded some Linen Thread through. The flowers are made with the Scallop Circle punch and I have used some of that great packing paper we get with our orders. When I actually took this photo I did have a Layout in mind, because the statue was just a little too big to get into one photo so I took three and just joined them together. Amazing isn't it I am on holiday with my family and I still think about scrapping/craft, hehehe..

Anyway thought I would get this page done although the challenge goes for 2 weeks this time instead of 1, but knew I might not have time after Christmas. So thanks for stopping by and all comments are greatly received and read.

Until next time Happy Stamping

Just Add Ink # 47 Challenge

Just Add Ink Challenge No.47

Well you guessed it another time for a Challenge. The Just Add Ink design team just keep on giving out these great challenges for all of us. I was unsure about these colours for a while.
I had made up my mind to do another Scrapbook Layout but with these colours? Not quite sure how?
With that in mind I decided I needed some photos, so off I went in search of the perfect photos for these colours.
If your like me and have loads and loads of photos and not much time to get them onto layouts, then finding some photos to go with things shouldn't be that hard.....

Because I thought these colours where quite vibrant, colorful and fun, I needed some photos to fit the theme.
This is what I came up with.

These are some pictures I had taken from our Holiday a wee while ago, and I thought the colour suited these images pretty good. I mean its fun, colourful and suited the scenes. I was pretty chuffed with my picture along the top of the kids. They were actually lying on the footpath when I took it but with a pair of scissors in my hand, I like the way it looks at the top of the page.
I have used my scallop circle punch to make my umbrellas and I have also added some sand along the bottom of the page. Although very hard to see I have used my scor-pal to scor a design onto the tempting turquoise cardstock.

Supplies
12" x 12" Riding Hood Red Cardstock
Tempting Turquoise A4 cardstock
Daffodil Delight cardstock
Spiral Punch
Scallop Circle Punch
Lolly Pop sticks
Sand
Smart Guy Alpha dies (bigshot)
White gel Pen (for my seagulls)
The sun just hand made

With my classes coming to an end for the Holiday season. I have decided that it is time to get all the things I have put on hold, done over the break, so don't forget to pop in from time to time because I will be posting my projects as I do them. I hopefully will get lots of Layouts done as I have so many photos, I need to get them organised. So if you need some inspiration for those happy snaps pop in and don't forget I will be having Scrapbook classes next year as well.

Six White Boomers

Just Add Ink Challenge Number 46

Well another Friday and with it another challenge from the great design team ladies over at Just Add Ink.
They have set down a challenge this week to just add CRITTERS. Unfortunately I am still in Christmas mode, well its not to far away is it now?. So with that in mind I decided to challenge myself even more because they have asked for more Scrapbook Layouts, so I sat down and came up with a Christmas Layout.
My colour choice is of course christmassy, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red and White with abit of Chocolate Chip for my Tree. I also used the Happy Christmas Mate Stamp Set. As we live in Perth and with that we always seem to have a sunny Christmas Day I went with the Aussie Theme.
Kangaroos and Koalas are the go for my Critters today.
I do love the song 6 White Boomers, Snow White boomers oh well I wont write the whole song, but I based my Layout on this them.

If you have never heard this song, click the link to here Rolf Harris singing,

Here is a close up of my Koalas on the Tree.
